High-tech graphics for leading Triathlon brand

The Client

2XU is a popular triathlon brand that designs and sells sports apparel including compression garments for cycling, running, open water swimming, and general fitness.

The Brief

I was tasked by the UK supplier to create a series of adverts and exhibition stands for use across various popular triathlon magazines and events promoting 2XU’s latest wetsuit and compression-wear ranges.

My Approach

Working to the 2XU brand guidelines, I created strong designs that reflect the product’s robustness and strength.

In the advert a bold, stylish image of New Zealand Ironman Cameron Brown dominates the wetsuit advert (top left). Thumbnails were located on the left hand side to effectively promote the entire wetsuit range. The 220 Triathlon award badge was strategically placed to act as a brand endorsement without disrupting the dramatic effect of the main image and design.

The eye-catching imagery in the upper-section of the PWX advert (top right) was used to emphasis strength, intensity and power which are central to the brand’s identity. The base of the page features the key call to actions to attract visitors to the 2XU website. The result was a hard-hitting, advert with an aspirational message for its triathlon target market.

The simple rollup banners were defined by the exquisite pre-supplied imagery, requiring little more than positioning and logo inclusion.
